Why you may be in pain by Dr. Quigley
Hello Spanaway residents and beyond! Here’s some trivia for you…Did you know you have more than 200 bones in your body? Did you know that whenever two bones meet together at a joint so there can be movement? Without joints you’d be in big trouble. What’s this have to do with Chiropractic?
Well, since joints in your spine are so close to your spinal cord and nerve roots, too much or too little joint motion can have serious effects. If the spinal bones get stuck and don’t move right, they can cut into delicate nerves.
If the joint moves too much, it can press against nearby nerve tissue. This can interfere with the vital life force transmitted over your nervous system that helps keep your brain in touch with your body. The result is called a subluxation.

This involves crooked bones interfering with nerves. It also involves muscles becoming too tight or weak (or discs, ligaments, or other connective tissue) which can become inflamed. Bone spurs, and arthritic degeneration can set in. Are you in pain? Let me know what you’re experiencing, I’d love to give you some more input. Dr. Quigley, Spanaway Chiropractor.
